Malacca has a long colorful history dated way back to more than 600 years. With the lack of natural resources like other states of Malaysia, Malacca/Melaka rely solely on industrialization and tourism development. To date, Malacca is well known by the world, and it’s a place never to be missed when one visits Malaysia. Malacca is located on the West Coast of Peninsular Malaysia, facing the strategic Straits of Malacca, approximately 147 kilometers from Kuala Lumpur.

2nd Destination : A Famosa

Malacca is a place where many culture meet and fused. One of the most pronounced influence is Portuguese architectural that one can see around Malacca. When the Portuguese came in 1511, they built a fort overlooking the river, and named it A Famosa

3rd Destination : Stadthuys

The Stadthuys is a historical structure situated in the heart of Malacca City, the administrative capital of the state of Malacca, Malaysia in a place known as the Red Square. The Stadhuys is known for its red exterior and nearby red clock tower.

4th Destination : St.Paul’s Church

The St Paul’s Church is the church ruins that sit on the top of the St Paul’s Hill. The hill was originally named as Malacca Hill. It was then changed to Monti Ali Maria or Mary’s Hill after the Portuguese took over the hill. The St Paul’s Church was originally a chapel and was known to the Portuguese in Malacca as the Chapel of Mother of God (Madre de Deus) or Our Lady of the Hill (Nossa Senhora do Oiteiro)

5th Destination : St.John’s Fort

St. John’s Fort was constructed by the Dutch in the 18th century and was once a private chapel dedicated to St. John the Baptist. The interesting features that should be paid attention, is the cannons in the fort that are faced inland instead to the sea. The view from the top of the hill where St. John’s stands is particularly for the fantastic tropical sunset that consistently builds great valuable experiences.
